Trevor Rees-Jones is the previous guardian of Diana, Princess of Wales, who was available in the fender bender that ended her life.

Rees-Jones was born on 3 March 1968 in Rinteln, West Germany. He was born to Colin Rees, a specialist in the British Army, and Gill, a medical caretaker. He has two brothers, Gareth and John.

He moved from Germany to Oswestry, and in 1987, Rees-Jones enrolled in the first Battalion of the Parachute Regiment.
