Varanasi (UP), Oct 3 (IANS) The Varanasi Cantonment Police have arrested a dealer for threatening to explode the venue of an event of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and the civil court.

Calls had been made on the numbers of SP Varanasi (rural) and other cops on September 30.

The accused, Monu Sonekar, sells momos in Phulwaria location.

Monu had stolen the cell telephone of a neighbour’s daughter to trouble a chance.

He have been arrested in advance in 2017 for faking his own abduction tale.

Commissioner of police A. Satish Ganesh said: “Monu has been arrested after an FIR turned into lodged towards him with Cantonment police station. He had an old enmity with the family of the girl, whose cellular smartphone he had stolen.”

Inspector, Cantt, Prabhu Kant stated that following a detailed investigation in the case, an FIR was lodged towards Monu under sections 504 (intent to initiate breach of peace), 507 (crook intimidation by means of anonymous communique), 505(1)b (fanning hearsay to motive panic) and 153a (selling enmity) of IPC.

Monu had made smartphone calls on the numbers of residence of SP, Varanasi, rural district and CUG quantity of ACP Cantt. He issued threats of bomb blasts on the occasion of a function that was to be attended by means of the Chief Minister.

The Commissioner of Police said: “Initially, the owner of the cell telephone, who’s a girl from Phulwariya locality, and her circle of relatives contributors have been detained. During interrogation, they stated that they lost the cellphone from their vegetable store on September 30.”
